Hi, I’m Lyle from Scout Talent and this is our Tech Talk. Today I’m going to talk a little bit about our recruitment software, but first, I’m the business leader here at scout talent and recruitment has always been a passion of mine. For me, hiring the best talent possible has been key to my success as a business leader both through my Flight Centre career and here at Scout Talent. Getting the right person is key. Our recruitment software is a candidate management system that streamlines all of the recruitment processes: everything from talent acquisition to onboarding.
It’s available in different modules so only has the components you need to make your recruitment process better. We know that 39% of candidates will lose interest if the recruitment process is long and arduous. That means that a lot of companies who are using those recruitment processes will lose out on great candidates. We also know that candidates will tell up to 3 people if they’ve had a bad candidate experience. Scout Recruit is our candidate management system and has several modules that will help you with your recruitment needs, depending on what those are, you can customize the tool to work best for you.
Scout Talent has been in business for 13 years. We have over 10o employees in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines. We have 7,000 monthly users. Our software is really great for organizations that want to speed up their recruitment process. They have a lot of recruitment going on..or even just a little, but to keep it organized we need to take that out of email and spreadsheets and get it into one centralized system so that it’s easy to manage and doesn’t take a lot of time.

Scout Recruit has many modules, that can really help with any part of the recruitment process. First, we start with Essentials, Which starts off for smaller companies who are looking to get some sophistication in their recruitment process but don’t have a lot of money and they’re not really hiring that much. You can hire up to 3 people at a time, keep a general expression of interest open so that you’re always attracting candidates and it really makes that simple and easy.
Scout Recruit is the full version of recruitment software, suitable for larger companies who have a more robust recruitment need. There are several modules that you can add on, but only as needed, to help make that recruitment process more sophisticated. Scout Recruit was built for recruiters, by recruiters. Which means it’s easy to use, intuitive to the recruitment process.
Step-by-step, whatever you need it to do, it will do. Talent acquisition is all about people. And it takes people to help manage people. Our software is great at getting those processes streamlined, but our recruitment experts are on hand at any time to help with any part of the recruitment process. This makes us unique in the industry because not only do you have software that you can sure yourself on your recruitment process but it also allows you access to recruitment experts at any time to take on those little bits of extra work or when things get busy, all of the work. Our clients that use scout Recruit find that their recruitment process is greatly sped up. We’ve had clients who have never done recruitment use our software and they were able to make a hire within days, having never done it before. We’re really proud of the fact that it streamlines that process. our system highly encourages the use of screening questions, our customers can really narrow down who they’re looking at quickly and easily. Recently, we had a client use our system for an Administrative Assistant role. He had over 100 applicants, he had never done recruitment before, and he was able to screen those candidates in a timely manner and get back to them really quickly which means he didn’t lose any candidate and was able to make sure that he hired the best person. Here at Scout Talent, it’s important to us to be experts. So we only really focus on Candidate Management, onboarding and learning. We don’t have a complete HRIS package, payroll, time management, all of that you can find with our marketplace partners. But it’s not what we do, because that’s not where we have our expertise.
At Scout Talent, we know that you don’t just need a candidate management system, so we work with the best in industry partners in our Marketplace so that you can integrate seamlessly with other components that will help with your overall business needs. We really want to make sure that HR managers have a full toolkit of HR products that are best in the industry. This isn’t about one system that has all of the features, but maybe they’re not the best. We really value security and privacy, so we’re ISO 27001 certified, which means your information is stored locally and follows strict security protocols. We believe that recruitment software should be available for everybody, so our pricing is modular and really allows clients to pick and choose what matters ot them. So Essentials, which is our entry-level recruitment software, is available for $150 a month with
unlimited users and no onboarding cost.
Scout Recruit is our full-version candidate management system. The onboarding cost is $2000 and it takes about 2 weeks. The monthly cost is $450 for 2 HR-level users, and those are the users that have full admin access to Scout Recruit.
